The Image
Most Ingrid images I captured on film. I have always been smitten with the gauze, I call it, that film, still or movie, lays on reality.
I processed and printed my own black-&-white film for decades, largely from my custom darkroom in the heart of Telluride. It’s taken time to be open to the possibility of a digital print rivalling a darkroom print.
It's here, or I wouldn't be selling it. The Ingrid Print is an amalgam of film and digital. I did it, start to finish, for you. Archival inks and papers only.
The Print
If you buy an Ingrid Print, it will be printed on thick archival paper, reminiscent of the finest, double-weighted fiber darkroom paper. When my colleagues Lito and Linde turned me on to Moab paper, I pulled out the first sheet and sighed, at last.
It is 300 gsm, which means it has a nice heft to it, firmer than any digital paper I have held.
An Ingrid Print is titled in my happy, oft whimsical hand. Telluride locals have come to expect, nay demand, an Ingrid-penned title on their print.
Each Ingrid Print sports the open addition number of your print, and an embossed artist's signature, which you see on every page of this site. It spells "Ingrid." That's it.
The Size
Currently, an Ingrid Print comes in one size. All images are printed on 13x19 Moab paper, the sexy paper mentioned above. Hover over the desired image, and see the title, description, approximate size, and cost.
Perhaps there will be a smaller size available as well. Let me know if that appeals to you. Talk to me at ingrid@ingridlundahl.com |
